Cherry Bomb is about bravery in the face of power. Nuclear war is a man made threat. The top panel shows a fearless woman facing a nuclear blast, with a bottom panel of cotton candy and ice cream, mocking the power. The painting is an expression of female empowerment against the many forces working against her.

Un-Natural Selection is about life, death, and rebirth with the tulip representing life, the skull representing death, and the butterfly representing change. The skull overlay on the butterfly signifies the devastating human impact on the natural world. Is the butterfly poisoning or pollinating the flower?

Dirty Money is about the relentless pursuit of wealth at the expense of nature. The subject is clothed in royalty and protected from the deadly consequences of his actions. The composition is oil paint against a textured plaster background and real United States currency. The subject appears to emerge from his own wasteland unaffected, but his hand tells a different story.

Creativity is about the unspoken rules of society, which force conformity on its youth. Artists defy boundaries and break the barriers of conformity. The gold behind the curtain is the power of original thought.

Price of Progress - A young man's ambition becomes an old man's regret. Price of Progress shows the subject in his Autumn years with a lifetime of achievements and mistakes on his mind. The grey background represents the haze of pollution and of memory.

Worth Saving - Earth is a fishbowl on the brink of destruction but not dead yet. Like a black eye, bleached coral can heal. This painting is about hope, and like the ocean life, the subject herself is Worth Saving.

Plastic Water - More than 60 million plastic water bottles end up in landfills and incinerators every day. Plastic pollutes our oceans and kills sea life. Plastic Water is a representation of the hope for a cleaner ocean and a safer environment. I selected my mother as the subject of this painting to show the contrast between beauty against the garbage that pollutes our oceans. The significance of the butterfly is the possibility of change.

White Collar - Our nation was built on an honest days work, which is ever harder to find. What values has the American worker lost in his journey from blue collar to white collar? This painting emphasizes the blind worship of money leaves the subject dirty no matter the starch in his shirt.
